Where's Mason????

Emma and Austin were glued at the playroom window this afternoon-desperately trying to watch Mason, our family dog. Emma even was attempting to knock on the window to get Mason's attention. They were so amazed!

Go Yankees!!!!!

Sorry all you Non-Yankee fans, but Katie girl was too cute in her cheerleader uniform today!!!!

Pigtails!

You've gotta LOVE pretty girls in pigtails!

A playdate with NICU friends!

I did not get any great pictures, but we had a "playdate" with friends we met in the NICU. Kim's twins and my quads were in the NICU the same time. As we sat and held our tiny babies for so long, we got to talking and became friends. It was soo fun to get all six kids together (plus Matthew-Kyle and Mallory's older brother). My four were definitely fascinated in the two little kids in their home! Emma kept going up to Kyle and pointing at him, and Austin even was pointing at Kyle's forehead, I guess trying to figure him out! :) Can't wait to get back together with our friends............

Can you tell?

.......That this child definitely has some babies in his home! He sure looks like he knows how to care for them! :) I came across this pic on Nicky's school's website-showing "Kindergarteners at Work"! Nicky tells me he was having a fun time at the "Family Time"center, (one of many centers the kids alternate to during the day). Doesn't he look so cute?

Nicky and Daddy!

They enjoyed the weather this afternoon with some baseball, football, and even basketball!!!! They had a blast-Nicky wants to do it all over again tomorrow after school! Poor Daddy is going to be sore! :)

Look what Matty found!

Emma's butt! He was intrigued in finding what was under her diaper! :) As you can see, they are keeping me super busy!

Beautiful day for a walk!

So, after their morning nap, Tom and I took the babies on a walk. They really enjoyed it, and so did we! :) So, we thought we'd be a bit "daring" and let the little monkeys out on the front lawn. BIG MISTAKE!!!! They were running in all directions. We could NOT contain them! It was hysterical-we are soooo outnumbered!

Nicky's new guitar!

Nicholas hung out with Nanny and Poppy yesterday, and as usual, came home with some fun prizes!!! They bought him a very cool $30 guitar. Now I say $30 b/c that is all he kept saying to me, "Nanny bought me a $30 guitar!" Over and over again. I guess he knows when he is with me, a $30 toy is out of the question, just on a random shopping trip! And he was very excited about a t-ball set they picked out for him. He can't wait to go outside tomorrow and play ball with Daddy!

He's ESCAPING!!!!

This is how we found Austin this morning after his nap! He's a daredevil already! I think I need to switch cribs with him and Katie, as Katie's is all open slats, instead of part solid wood on the bottom!!! Look how he's laughing! What a monkey!

A Playroom!!

We did a little rearranging in the Wilke house this past week. I just needed more room for the babies. The living room alone was not handling four babies all day long. Sooo, we moved Nicky's things in with Marc (Nick sleeps in our bed EVERY night anyway, so really only his "things" are with Marc, not really sharing a room) and converted NIcky's room into a playroom. I didn't bother changing the paint or anything on the walls, but merely moved NIcky's things out and moved all the toys and such in (including Nicky's toys and big basketball hoop thing he likes) The babies LOVE exploring their new space!!! And I am enjoying having more room also!

Austin's 1st Haircut!!!

Yes, I gave in. I finally had my "baby's" hair cut. I've really been holding out on this. He is my "baby", my last born, and by cutting his curls off, I really feel like he's not my baby anymore!!! But, it did need to be done. So, the kids and I ventured to the salon today, and we did it! And Austin looks sooooo handsome! :) (I only shed a tear or two!) Ok, this is embarassing, but I guess all moms take their kids to get their hair cut for their 1st birthday. Let me remind you, our babies are almost 16 months old~ Yes, Austin is 4 months overdue for his cu t. Anyway, the stylist started singing "Happy Birthday" to Austin.............he kept looking at her all crazy! I had to interrupt her-it's not his birthday!!!! :)

Birthday party fun!!!!

We had so much fun last week at the Zerilli Triplets' 2nd Birthday party! Matty was totally loving his Barney party hat-he didn't want to take it off!!! We played, ate some yummy food, and played some more! The babies LOVED exploring a new home and new toys!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

Here's a quick pic of the girls tonight during dinner, right before their bath.

As you can see, they are messy, messy, messy. But I guess buttered noodles will do that to you! Can't believe I didn't even get a Valentines Day smile out of my girls..................the boys have been crabby the past few days. Both have been burning up with a fever, but no real signs of anything else. They have been extra-clingy and sleepy, so I am not sure if something is "brewing" or if they are teething. I will see how they are tomorrow before taking them to the pediatrician.

Quad Stroller!

So, Tom and I took the plunge and purchased a used Quad stroller. I NEVER

thought I would be going anywhere alone with four babies, but that thought has changed! I am sick of being stuck in the living room, and constantly needing Marc and Lexi to push the 2nd stroller. And, of course, what 13 or 15 yo WANT to push a stroller in the mall?! :) Soooo, Tom and I drove up to North Jersey and bought this stroller in excellent shape from a triplet mom I met online. It is in great shape, and I am very excited to get some use out of it. We still have to figure out if we need to hitch it to the back of the van, or if it can break down enough to go in the back of the van, so once the snow stops here, that is the next plan. BUT, I am so excited to even take a walk around the block during the day, when the rest of the kiddos are in school! :)

Katie IS going to be fine!!!

MY KATIE GIRL had a PERFECT swallow study today!!!!!!!! She is absolutely FINE and had NO ASPIRATIONS ON THIN OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely began crying during the study b/c she was doing sooo well. Just the past 15 months of everything we have been through with her came to mind. With each liquid they gave her, and she swallowed it perfectly, I got more and more teary eyed. My baby girl IS going to be okay. The docs kept telling me that she would outgrow it, but deep down I was apprehensive. I kept a positive face, but I was really unsure what would happen. The speech therapist (who overlooks the study along with a Radiologist) and I laughed, and hugged, and shrieked after the study. This therapist has been working with Katie for over a year now, and I swear, she seemed just as excited as I was. So, what this means is that we slowly begin to transition her to all oral feeds. We don't want to "shock" her body, as the speech therapist said, so we will start out slow. I must keep track of how much PediaSure she takes by mouth, and subtract that from her tube feeds. It may take a month or so. Once we get her to the point that she is all oral fed, then we will still keep the G tube in for up to six months. This is done as a precaution in case she becomes sick, is hospitalized for any reason, and needs to gain weight. It's just a precaution b/c it is already in place. I am fine with that. I am just sooo overjoyed-I feel like I am on Cloud 9 today...............

15 month checkup!

They had their 15 month check up today.
They did so well-they did have one shot-the MMR. Austin cried, it seemed like for HOURS!

Here are the 15 month weights:

Matty 19.12 lbs 28 3/4 inches
Emma 20.9 lbs 30 inches
Katie 20.10 lbs 29 1/2 inches
Austin 23.11 lbs 31 1/2 inches

I am amazed how big they are getting. The gap is slowly closing between Matty and Austin.
Katie gained a good amount of weight this month and I can't believe she suddenly weighs more than Emma!!!! Can't wait for Katie's swallow study tomorrow!
