Sleeping update................
There really isn't any! :) In this past week, though, I have learned that I could have just bought TWO toddler beds, rather than FOUR! :) My kids continue to sleep together in the beds, with maybe one venturing out on his/her own. (Notice the EMPTY toddler beds!) Naptime is still a struggle-I am hoping it gets better soon. They wake up @ 7am, and I put them down for a nap around 11ish. They play and raise he** until about 1pm. Then they'll sleep till 3 or so. So, technically they are in their room for 4 hours but only sleep 2. And then I wake them up to make sure they'll go to bed at 8ish. I feel mean leaving them in their room that long-but what else am I to do? Suggestions, anyone???? Or is this just all new to them, and they will eventually go to sleep sooner?

From experience, a few things...
- they will eventually sleep in their own beds. They like the togetherness now, but will soon be kicking each other out of their bed-- wanting their own space.
- nap time... the novelty of their beds & freedom will eventually wear off, but you will always have those random days where they play 'til they crash for nap-- if at all. Don't feel bad about them in their room for that long. You need to stay on your schedule, so when it's time for nap/bed, they go in and what they decide to do with their time in there (sleep or play) is up to them.
It's all a work in progress, Mom! :)
I think it is so sweet how they congregate together to sleep. I really couldn't imagine getting 4 to go to sleep in one room unconfined. My little girls are two years apart. They share a room. One is in a crib and the other in a toddler bed. We have to seperate them at nap time everyday.
I have no idea how you get four the same age to sleep in the same room! If Liam had partners to play with at nap or night time, he'd be up 'til dawn. As it is now, he rolls around and plays at night even when Matt and Owen are sleeping and know better to even acknowledge his goofiness. Luckily the older 2 fall asleep pretty quickly, even with all Liam's shenanigans. Good luck!!!
I don't know if you remember me but we met on the PCOS boards while you were pregnant and I've been following your blog. First, I want to say that you're doing an amazing job and are an inspiration to us all.
Perhaps you should try putting them down a little later for nap? My 19 month old daughter gets up at 7 am and I put her down for her nap after lunch between 12:30 and 1:00. She sleeps until 3:30 or 4:00 and goes to bed at 8:00. She doesn't have any issues falling asleep at night if she naps until 4:00 (she has even been known to nap until 5:00 pm). However, of course as all kids are different this may not work for you.
I am dreading the move to the toddler bed. I am certain she will play like yours once she has that freedom. I'm crossing my fingers that she doesn't figure out how to crib hop for a while.
Best of luck to you!

Joey & Nicky are still in cribs so I am no help to you. I will take everything that you learn and remember for when they go into there beds!
