NIcky's 1st t-ball game!

He did great!!! He hit the ball "all the way to the tree!" And even t hough in t-ball, they do not keep score, NIcholas informed me that his team "won". :)

Yes, this was my Matty today. It was so beautiful outside, I brought them out on the front lawn-caged in, of course! :) But, my Matty kept standing on the slide. I kept telling him, "No, Matty, sit down." And he would crouch down, but then right back up again!!!

Lexi, Lexi, Lexi............

Look how sweet Lexi looked at 2 years old! Can you see the 13yo attitude already??!! :) No, j/k, s he is a really good girl and a tremendous help to me with the babies............But, OMG, look how little she was!

13 years old???!!!! OMG........ :)

Lexi turns 13 years old tomorrow. I can't believe how old she is! We have another teenager in the house! Yikes! :) We celebrated her birthday last night, since Tom is not off tomorrow and it is Nicky's 1st t-ball game. So, we had family over last night...........and we are planning a pool party for Lexi and her friends in June, once it is warmer outside. Happy Birthday Lexi!

18 MONTHS????!!!!!!

We took the babies for their 18 month checkup today.......my oh my, where did the time go???
My big guy, Austin, so darn cute. He's OFF (above!) the charts for Height! And he's a preemie!!!! And my Katie is NOT following her growth curve..........she did not gain any weight in 2 weeks...........
Here are the stats, in birth order!:

Matthew 21.1 lbs 31 inches long
Emma 22.13 lbs 32 1/4 inches long
Katie 19.7 lbs 31 3/4 inches long
Austin 25.3 lbs 35 inches long

It was a pretty good appt. B/C of Emma's constipation, I have to give her a suppository every night for one week. And as for Katie, ped mentioned putting back the feeding tube. Tom is adament against it..........I understand where he's coming from.............I guess time will tell.

A trip to the pediatrician's office.........

I took Austin and Katie to the doctor's this morning..........

Austin has eczema......but over the past few days it has gotten worse. His entire back was full of a rash, and his cheecks were bright red. Doctor said it was definitely eczema, but it needed to be treated with an antibiotic and a cream........I also made Austin a dermatologist appt in mid-May. Katie has been congested, so I brought her along. She has "croup"-just like Nicky di d a few weeks ago. She is wheezing as well. I have to nebulize her a few times a day along with giving her a prescription medicine (orapred). With Katie's history, it seems she can get sick rather quickly, and it becomes serious rather quickly, too. I dropped her off at my mom's house today while I took NIcky to his t-ball practice...........that way she didn't have to be out in the cold with the rest of us.............

Even though his hair is chopped off, I LOVE his smile.........so contagious! He is really such a happy boy...........all day long I hear him yelling, "MMMMOOOOOMMMMMMYYYYY" and I say, "Yes, Matty?" and he says "Oh." So stinkin' cute...........

Mommy cuts Katie's bangs.......

Yes, so after the girl didn't cut enough off of Katie's hair (see pic) I went home and cut it myself..........I probably should have done this in the first place! Not too shabby for an Accountant................. :)

Girls' 1st haircuts!

So, Tom finally allowed me to get the girls' bangs cut.......You better believe I was out at the salon today before he had a chance to say NO......I took them to SuperCuts for $5 bang cuts............the girl did a great job with Emma...........but Katie, I had to go home and cut more off........pics to follow............In the one pic, you can see Emma watching closely as Katie gets her hair cut!

It has been an eventful week with Katie!

Yes, this innocent looking girl has been creating havoc for me this past week!

First, she has been climbing out of her crib. Yes, this little munchkin scales the crib like a professional! :) Earlier in the week, I even found her roaming the house when she was supposed to be napping! I still haven't decided what I want to do..........crib tent or toddler bed. The pediatrician is against the crib tent............so I am still deciding. She seems to "little" to be in a toddler bed already!

And second, Katie pulled out her tube!!!!! Yes, on Monday night, I rushed her to the ER at Mercer to see if they could re-insert it. They couldn't. The doc said it appeared already closed, and he could not get it back opened...........sooooo, I've talked to the GI doc at CHOP, and as long as she continues to gain weight and has no setbacks, she is tube free!!!! :)

Bath time!

Lately, the babies have really enjoyed bath time. OMG, they giggle and yell and laugh so hard-it is so funny to watch them. Austin is the one to start the splashing.............and then his new thing is he likes to put half of his face in the water-he laughs sooo hard! They LOVE bath time..........I can't wait to get them in the pool! :)

Feeding and Swallowing appointment

Here is a pic of Katie girl today at her doc's appt.
It wasn't too bad. The nutritionist said that if Katie doesn't gain 2.5-5 ounces in two weeks, then we will restart small tube feeds at night. I think I can get her to gain that. He gave me a bunch of ideas for calorie boosting......... She weighed 19.3 lbs today. I am checking to see if the insurance will cover "Duocal", it's a calorie boosting tasteless powder you can add to her drinks, food, etc. I am hoping it is covered, b/c it costs like $35/can. I can add plain old s ugar to any fruit cups she eats..............and I've already started the cream cheese on bagels (she had it for a snack again tonight!) So we will see.......................I do not want her back on tube feeds. Fatten up, Katie girl, Fatten up!!!! :)

NKOTB Reunion???!!!!!

Ok, I know this post is not about the babies, but OMG, I found out tonight that the New Kids on the Block are reuniting! I sooo want to go to a concert..........I dug out these old photos of me when I went to a few concerts in the 90's............So funny, in the first pic, my friends and I were totally "decked o ut" in NKOTB apparel...............Since we didn't take the NKOTB home, for the next concert, we decided to dress "sexy"..........Yes, in the 90's according to this 14yo girl, "Cavariccis" (remember them??) and a polka dot shirt was "sexy"!!! :) Oh, I so wanted to be Mrs. Donnie Wahlberg!!!! :)

Spring Clothes!

I started taking out some Spring clothes for the babies...........I bought some capris and then these hooded zip up jackets that go with them.......but as you can see, Katie would not look at the camera for me! She would not pose! But you know my Emma, always ready for the camera! :)
